Payment Options
The Family Health and Birth Center is committed to providing care to all who need it, regardless of ability to pay. As such, we accept several different forms of compensation for our services, including Medicaid, private insurance, and a sliding scale for self-paying clients. If you have insurance coverage, please see below for a list of insurance carriers accepted by our providers. We also encourage all of our privately insured patients to contact their insurance carrier directly to verify coverage of specific services, as individual plans can vary. If you do not have insurance, or if your insurance does not appear on our list, please see below for more information on our sliding scale, self-pay system.
Regardless of your insurance or financial situation, our staff will work with you to develop a plan that makes sense for you and your family. Whether its verifying and interpreting your insurance coverage, or creating a long-term payment plan, our staff is available to help. Sliding Scale/ Self-Pay System:
If you do not have insurance, we can help you to apply for DC Medicaid. If you are not eligible for Medicaid, we offer a sliding scale of our fees based on your income and household size. In addition, we offer the option of payment plans. Again, please call 202-398-5520 for more details.
